A Brief Intermission....While We Have a Car Fire

I'm so sorry I missed drawing the blog giveaway winner yesterday my loyal readers!! I am going to let this week's contest go another week, and I will draw the winner next Sunday, June 6th. And then we'll proceed as if we never missed a beat! :)

Needless to say, it was a very "Memory filled" Memorial Day..and I don't mean that in a good way. This is our 2000 GMC Jimmy. We were riding in down the street when it suddenly started shooting flames out the back, which luckily I noticed quickly in the rear view mirror. I mean how can you not notice flames that big? Anyway, nothing like running for your life while watching the car you were just riding in become engulfed in flames to get the adrenaline pumping.....

This is the front seat where my oldest and I were sitting....

And this is the seat my two youngest were sitting in. I am thanking God right now that we're all here to tell about it. I'm also glad I didn't have any kids in car seats, I'm not sure I could have gotten to them in time, it happened so fast.

Scary Sh*t folks.....

Fuel system is the suspect cause.......

OMG! I'm so glad everyone got out in time! Oddly enough, we just witnessed a fire like this in a very similar vehicle. (not sure of the exact model, but was similar to yours) The car pulled over in the parking lot across the street from a friends house while we were standing in the front yard. A man jumped out and started yelling at his family to get out and the next thing we knew the whole car was in flames! So scarey!
