Sweet As Can Be ~MyOtherPrincess~

Let me direct your attention to one of the sweetest shops (and sellers) on Etsy!!! Meet Miranda, the head cupcake mistress at myotherprincess. She concocts the most delicious fizzy bath cupcakes EVER, so you should head directly to her shop! And try not to eat them, although you will definitely want to! Not only are they deliciously scented, they're skin moisturizing and definitely a wonderful for a 'pamper yourself' bath. Or maybe one of those 'lock yourself away from the children' baths. With scents like Sugar Cookie, Cinnamon Bun, Dulce de Leche and Brazilian Nut Coffee, it can be hard to choose. They come in two sizes and multipacks. and I'm thinking Valentine's Day guys! Perfect as gifts for your special woman! :)

But wait! Not only does Miss Miranda make these frothy and fizzy cupcakes, she also makes soap! This pumpkin soap is one of my favorites! (You may have noticed my addiction to pumpkin products by now!) Smells so delicious!

Pumpkin Pie and Vanilla layered soap $3.75

I can imagine a wide variety of Miranda's products in a huge gift basket...what a great gift!

I Love Cupcakes

Ok, I have to admit, the cupcake craze is right up my alley. I LOVE CUPCAKES. I love eating them, making them, all things cupcake! There, I said it, and now I feel better! I found an adorable set of stamps from Hero Arts the other day that's all cupcakes and sweets, which I ran, not walked, to the cash register to purchase! So far I've made a few things with them, but by far, this is my favorite.

I used a cream Bazzill bling textured cardstock for the base, cut and folded into an A2 size card, which I then edged in purple ink. I used Rose Red cardstock from Stampin' Up as the mat and some striped paper from My Mind's Eye. I hand stamped the cupcakes on ivory cardstock, and also matted that on Rose Red cardstock. I hand colored each cupcake a different "flavor" to match the striped paper, and put a big heart rhinestone cherry on top of the pink frosted cupcake. I attached the cupcakes to the card using pop dots for some depth. I punched a scalloped circle out of textured AC cardstock in a light green and attached it behind the cupcakes. I stamped "Happy Birthday" (also from the same Hero Arts set) in brown and affixed three clear rhinestones.

This would be a great card for that sassy little (or big) someone's birthday!

Another Great Giveaway!

Once again, I have partnered with another fabulous Etsy talent to do a giveaway. This time it was onthedotcreations. If you are a lover of all things polka dotted, you definitely must check out her blog! She frequently has a giveaway, and is always highlighting random dotty stuff.

Anyway, the details....the giveaway runs from today through 9 AM on Saturday morning, so be sure to get your entry in! If you win, you get the ring and some random dotty paper products from my card shop.

Today is my baby's 9th birthday. We celebrated last Saturday, but I made him cupcakes to take to school today. Nothing special, just out of a box....but it's the thought that counts right? Anyway, I am going to go have lunch with him. :)
