Lazy Summer Contemplations

So I'm almost recovered from my oral surgery. I think I have a pudding hangover, but that's not so bad in comparison to the problems I COULD have!

Anyway, I've been reflecting on my shops now that it's the peak of summer, and it's pretty much downtime for me. I've retaken some pictures, I'm in the process of listing new items. (Almost up to 300!!) I'm very happy with the branding in my AuntieDis shop, and I even have a new brochure that was made by the fabulous clemartdesign! That shop is ready to rock and roll for the holiday season. I just am unsure about my AuntiesCardShop. For the longest time I've wanted to combine both of these shops into one, I mean it sure would be easier to promote just one, but for some reason I just can't do it. I try to list paper products in my AuntieDis shop, but something always stops me at the last moment. Something makes me think it would be too crowded. I'm not necessarily unhappy with the branding in that shop. It fits my theme, both shops seem to go very well together, but something is "off". I've been trying very hard lately to equally promote both shops, I've even been scheduling which days to promote which shop, so I'm sure to be fair to each. I've been creating new products, not always daily, but a few times a week. I just don't know what it is! I can't put my finger on it, and it's making me nuts! If you have any suggestions for me, please clue me in!

What are you doing in the down time of summer? Are you prepping for fall sales? Or are you spending time with family and friends? What's your secret summer plans? Share!

Lazy Sunday

Mama Poochins says today is gonna be a lazy Sunday. Despite that fact, I have managed to create some new paper products, in between eating Hershey's eggs that I got on clearance, and surfing the net. It's hot out, about 80 degrees here, and I don't wanna go outside for sure. However, I am inclined to curl up on the floor and sunbathe with Mama Poochins, however I think I may use a more comfortable pillow!

More New Year's Resolutions.....

I guess it's time to admit the truth.....I LOVE playing with paper, so much that I probably won't ever go through my stash, yet I keep buying more. The bitter truth is I rarely have the attention span to do anything more than a set of tags or mini cards. I think that for the New Year, another of my resolutions should be to make more full sized greeting cards. I managed to make a Valentine's Day card today and list it in my paper shop, which hasn't made my blog lately. Chalk that up to another resolution...I better start promoting that more, or soon we're going to be drowning in paper goods!

I Can't WAIT For Back to School!!

Tonight is our 'meet the teacher' night before my kids go back to school on Monday. I am so excited, I am almost beside myself! Monday I shall get up, get them dressed and out the door, and then blissfully hurry back to burrito myself in my comforter and sleep off the last of the summer.

I've been counting the days until my three children go back to school using one of these perpetual calendars myself, made by *THE* one and only QueenVannaCreations. Mine is a little more *cough* gothic, but my kids fight to change the date on it (maybe because it's so darn cool)!!

Our back to school shopping is all complete, but wouldn't your kids love one of these awesome pencil pouches from Rohmer? I kind of wish that I had a need for a pencil pouch like that!

Don't forget about the teachers! The ones who are taking your kids off your hands, so you can recoup from summer break. They need a special treat too right? How about this awesome beaded paperweight from RedBessBonney?

And last but not least, even though you've unloaded them for the school year, and you'll actually have what resembles a life for 9 months, even if it is only during the day, it's nice to send them little lunch box notes so they know that you're still thinking about them. Or you can remind them that if they don't do their homework when they get home from school, they'll be grounded for all eternity. These are from my paper shop, auntiescardshop. They're also good to slip little 'hunnydo lists' into the briefcase! :)

Enjoy!

The Final Decision

Funny, I used to have a horse named "Final Decision"....

Anyway, I digress.....I think I have finally decided to keep BOTH shops and just rebrand my paper shop. I think I want to keep it with a tattoo theme, although of course, not the same as my original shop. Maybe something tribal or something. Anyway, keep your eyes peeled to see what I come up with for the paper shop!
