So the Monday Missions never really took off, perhaps they need a catchier name? No one wanted to partake, except my dear friend Robin from NothingLikeIt. Last week's mission was bunnies, and she created this fabulous chocolate Easter bunny. Looks like someone already had a sample!

And look who just swung in to say hi! Millicent was made by the insanely talented KreatedbyKelly. Wouldn't she just look fabulous in a nursery?

Trimming the Tree

It's almost time to trim the tree!!. We normally drag ours out of the box on Thanksgiving (after stuffing ourselves silly!) and put it up. Decorating the tree is a family event, complete with alcoholic beverages and stories of where and when each Christmas ornament was procured. This year, I scoured Etsy for the most funkalicious ornaments to trim my tree, and without further ado, I'd like to share them all with you! Please let it be known that this is a miniscule sampling of the ornaments that are listed on Etsy. One could go nuts trying to decide which one they would like to purchase! Search until your heart's content, there's lots of great ones!

For those of you with a wacky side (like me), be sure to check out the ornaments in NothingLikeIt's shop. You can find fruitcake, gingerbread people, flaming marshmallows, almost anything your heart could possibly desire!

For those of you looking for a more vintage feel, check out the ornies listed by KarmaRox. You never know what vintage Christmas goodies you may find there!

Have cats, kids, dogs? Want your ornaments to be safe from wagging tails, curious hands and batting paws?? Check out the awesome felt ornaments by UrbanPaisley.

And for those who just can't live without the tinkle of glass on the tree, be sure to check the fused glass goodness from dpholkdesigns. These stars come in a wide variety of colors, and would look great hanging on your tree!

The Great Hillbilly Giveaway of 2008!

Contest is OVER! We Have a Winner! Click here for more info!

Robin and Auntie Di were hitting the 'mash' pretty heavy one night when they overlapped into each others' work space.
Suddenly Robin shouted "Hey! You put your candle on my coaster!", Di yelled back "Naw! You put your coaster under my candle!". They both looked at each other and said "Hey, that looks pretty darn special!"

That first idea was a pretty good one but the next idea - not so bright. They've decided to give away this adorable combination to one lucky person who is willing to play their game:

"Hillybilly Homebrew"

1) Go to Nothinglikeit's ETSY store and find your most favorite item, come back to THIS blog and post a comment here about it on this post!

2) Go to Nothinglikeit's BLOG and follow the directions on her "The Great Hillbilly Giveaway of 2008!" blog post.

3) Want to DOUBLE your chances of winning? Also suggest on BOTH blogs a new candle/coaster combination you think would be cool!

You have to go to both blogs and complete the steps to qualify for this give away! Our cousin Billy-Bob can READ and COUNT so he is keepin tabs on you guys!

** The drawing will be determined by a random number generator (not Billy-Bob) on September 19th at 10:00 EST.

Y'all get busy now!

** Offer open to US addresses ONLY - We'd like to ship to the whole wide world but there's only $5 in our piggy bank and the whiskey still hasn't turned a profit yet *

Nothing Like It....

...ain't that the truth? There really is Nothing Like It anywhere on the web!! Atomic Veggies, flattened vampires, imps and elves and don't forget the farm animals...

What am I talking about, have I lost my mind, you may ask? (Flattened ^$!($^@)&*# Vampires?) Why, it's dear Robin's Etsy shop Nothing Like It, where you can find all kinds of polymer clay goodies! The most fabulous (in my opinion) are her fun flattened clay coasters! The one you see above was a custom order for yours truly (I mean who else would want my logo?), and I love it completely!!! And no, I won't share, but, you can have this fabulous guy! Pirate Pete and his parrot friend Polly! (Yup, I'm dubbing him Pete....)

Her shop is filled with all kinds of colorful characters from the common, to the not so common, so you never know what you may find! So drop on by and pick up some atomic veggies or a flattened critter!
