Merry Christmas!!

I hope everyone had an enjoyable Christmas, and is looking forward to the New Year with excitement!

I seem to have a lot of dog related posts lately, but I could not resist one more! This is my niece's new Shih Poo puppy. He doesn't have a name yet, but he looks like a Niblet to me. Mr. Nibs for short. She got him for Christmas. Recently they had to put their Greyhound to sleep because he had cancer. Anyway, Niblet is 7 weeks old here. As you can see, he can't see over the bottom door jamb! LOL It's only about 2" high. He's about the size of a beanie baby, and oh so cute! All fur!

If you notice the size of the camera in the picture below, you'll see he's the same size!

It was a fun day had by all!

Taking My Life In My Hands Tomorrow

Well this is it kiddos, we're down to the wire here for Christmas shopping, and tomorrow, I am going to venture out and leave my little cocoon of sanity and security. I have to try to finish my Christmas shopping while my children are at school. The concept already has me in the 'butt pucker' state. Last night, I ran out of printer ink, and had to drive to the Office Max that is about 4 miles from my house. It's in a decent sized shopping complex. It took me an hour and a half!!! I'm definitely not looking forward to tomorrow!! Each year I say that "next year, I'm going to do all my shopping online." ...THIS year..I mean it!!!

Trimming the Tree

It's almost time to trim the tree!!. We normally drag ours out of the box on Thanksgiving (after stuffing ourselves silly!) and put it up. Decorating the tree is a family event, complete with alcoholic beverages and stories of where and when each Christmas ornament was procured. This year, I scoured Etsy for the most funkalicious ornaments to trim my tree, and without further ado, I'd like to share them all with you! Please let it be known that this is a miniscule sampling of the ornaments that are listed on Etsy. One could go nuts trying to decide which one they would like to purchase! Search until your heart's content, there's lots of great ones!

For those of you with a wacky side (like me), be sure to check out the ornaments in NothingLikeIt's shop. You can find fruitcake, gingerbread people, flaming marshmallows, almost anything your heart could possibly desire!

For those of you looking for a more vintage feel, check out the ornies listed by KarmaRox. You never know what vintage Christmas goodies you may find there!

Have cats, kids, dogs? Want your ornaments to be safe from wagging tails, curious hands and batting paws?? Check out the awesome felt ornaments by UrbanPaisley.

And for those who just can't live without the tinkle of glass on the tree, be sure to check the fused glass goodness from dpholkdesigns. These stars come in a wide variety of colors, and would look great hanging on your tree!

Here Comes Santa Claus

Hard to believe there's only like 30 something days until Christmas huh? (Not to panic you all or anything.......) Anyway, so last night I made a treasury instead of working, somehow it stretched out to take about an hour. I was feeling quite Christmas like apparently, and just so happened to be in the right place at the right time I guess.

So I'm stressing over this weekends show, and what I should be doing right now is WORKING (see a pattern here?)...but instead, me and the mutt are sitting here in bed, all huddled up in the blanket like people and mutt burritos. Except that she's mad at me. So while I'm huddled and sharing my warmth, she's trying to make herself as small as possible and huffing as deeply as she can with these soul searching sighs every 2 minutes or so. Oh well. She'll live. Wench.

I'm dreading tomorrow. Tomorrow I go pick my mom up so she can stay with the kids while I do this weekend's show. If I survive, I will share some of the gory details here next week. I still haven't sterilized the house yet. God help her if she finds a dog hair in her food. Jeebus. Get ready for the Apocalypse.

Well, I'm off to get something done.

Wish me luck!
