Rustic Rainbow - Undiscovered Etsy Talent

Amor Tattoo Style Ornament $14.50

I want you all to meet my friend Jennifer. She has an adorable and creative shop called Rustic Rainbow, where she combines her 3 main artistic pleasures (hand sewing, fabric and FELT!) to create the most wonderful hair adornments, pendants, necklaces and brooches, and wall decor. She lives in Pennsylvania with her hubby, 2 dogs and a cat named "Stinky" (of course I had to throw that in there!) LOL. I totally love her tattoo inspired designs! However, if tattoo inspired isn't your thing, she's definitely got plenty of other goodies to keep you busy wandering through her shop for hours!

Ask Alice Cameo POPlet $18.00

She believes that, although a necessary evil, spending hours promoting is very important to getting your shop recognized. She also believes that it's very important to find your niche. (Which she definitely has!)

Beautiful Butterflies Hair Embellishment Clip Set $15.00

So stop by Jennifer's shop and show her some Etsy love! I could get lost in her shop for hours just looking at all the pretties!

Car Troubles

If there's one thing I hate, it's car trouble. Today we're spending the day taking my baby, Blue Betty to see why her service engine light is on. It's under warranty, why shouldn't we? Anyway, in the mean time, I once again hopped on etsy and found some fabulous car themed stuff for you to ogle at. Like this Speedometer print by MarlenaWagner. Wouldn't it look fabulous hanging in a den or an office? Anywhere really!

I sure wish I had this little brooch to wear on my shirt today. Check out feelfuzzy's shop for a wide variety of brooches made from vintage jigsaw puzzle pieces, in all kinds of themes. I bet they're like potato chips, you can't have just one!!!

I LOVE this recycled license plate buckle by randitan. Have I mentioned I love it yet? Not only do they sell the buckles, but you can get the awesome distressed looking leather belt there also!

And last, but certainly not least, there's this sad little chocolate chip cookie key chain, by bittersweeets. Don't like cookies? How about an eggplant or an avocado? Check out the shop for a wide variety of angry foods.

I sure wish I had one of these so I could hand over my key to my baby on it and show just how sad I was about it. Maybe they would move me to the top of the fix it list? ;)

Hope you all have a great Tuesday!

Rain, Rain Go Away!!

Today I awoke to another grey and dreary day. It's been raining here in North Carolina for the last 4 days. I know we need the rain and all..but for Pete's sake, PLEASE go away, you're seriously harshing my mellow! I haven't had the urge to create in 4 days. My creative juices have been washed away by the rain! But at least these other fabulous Etsyians have created wonderful rain goodies!

This little felt rain cloud brooch by chirchi965 is so cute, that you almost can't be mad at it for bringing rain! If you think he's cute though, you should check out the rest of her shop!

This summer rain original painting by karmabox did bring a big smile to my face. I covet that girls bright red umbrella! Wouldn't I be the hit of the bus stop if I had it?

Raindrops on roses...that's the name of this hand spun Columbia/Dorset fiber by crazycatfibers. I think it suits it well, don't you? I don't know much about fibers and spinning, but I know I'd like to have a big cocoon of that stuff and burrow in it to sleep until the rain stops!

And last but not least, here is my ode to the rain. You can find these succulent little raindrops in my AuntieDis shop.

The good news is, all of this rain hunting on Etsy must have been like a cyberspace rain dance, only in the opposite. It made the rain go away! I see a hint of the sun! YAY!
Have a great day everyone!
