Chimney Rock, North Carolina

With just a few days left to our stay in Asheville (we leave tomorrow! :( ), we went searching for something to do yesterday. We decided to take a ride in the mountains to visit Chimney Rock State Park. On the way, we drove through Bat Cave, NC, and decided that may be a cool place to live when hubby retires! I mean, who wouldn't want to live in a town called "Bat Cave"? Finally, we made it to Chimney Rock, where we decided to climb to the top of the mountain. Ok, well my husband decided to climb to the top of the mountain, but I wussed out and rode in the elevator at the last part (it was quite a climb!). The dog climbed it though. This was the view from the top....

Chimney Rock State Park also touts a waterfall that supposedly was in "Last of the Mohicans".

This is really stunning! If you guys move to Bat Cave you HAVE to sing the Batman theme every time to go in and out of town. Du-nu-nu-nu, nu-nu-nu-nu. du-nu-nu-nu, nu-nu-nu-nu.... Bat Cave!! (That was tough to type).

Heck, if we move there, I'll even buy a batmobile!
