The Word of a Lifetime....

So my husband and I are fond of the word "ass hat"....it's a frequent flyer in our household. How tickled was I when I ran across poordogfarm and they had this lovely print? VERY. So tickled, in fact, that I promptly ran to my paypal account and purchased it, and I am going to frame it and sit it on my desk. LOL My husband is going to be so jealous. ;) Be sure to stop by and check out poordogfarm's Etsy shop. Not only is it quite witty, but there are some adorable prints there as well!

Moving

I'm sorry I've been so bad at blogging lately. We're in the process of moving. Moving itself is a pain in the hiney, but when you have to move with the Army, there are even more hoops to jump through. So needless to say, my top notch blogging (*snort*) is falling by the wayside. However, I did manage to scour Etsy this mornining for some cool "Moving" themed items!! Enjoy!

Gift Guide: Dog Walker (or Lover)

My dog is sitting here looking at me with the "I need to poop" eyes, and she insists that I must do a gift guide for dog walkers, so without further ado....

When I think of dog walkers, I think of those gals or guys in the movies that have about 10 leashes, and all the dogs are walking in a nice little pack......I mean seriously, does that ever really happen? I think not. I can't even get my ONE dog to walk right on a leash, without pulling me at whim across the grass to chase a squirrel, or sniff something that she thinks smells important. I can't even imagine having 10 or so to walk. All dog walkers (or dog lovers in general) deserve a little treat this holiday season. This bright print by BagLadyArts is sure to bring a smile to your favorite dog walker's face!

For those early morning dog walking type people, this antique, hand painted coffee pot by valleydeutsch would be the perfect something for a flower arrangement, or just a great decor item.
This adorable Sir Walks Alot print by houndtracks is also sure to bring a smile! I mean, how can you not smile while looking at Sir Walks Alot dressed in his walking best?? Fit AND trendy!

Get those bad dogs to be good with these Secret Squirrel cookies from LittlePies. My dog Pearl heartily endorses these! :) Not only do they look adorable, but apparently they're scrumdiddlyumptious to the canine palette!

Of course what goes in, must come out.....so lastly, for the most icky part of being a dog walker, one of these poop scoop bags would be not only trendy addition to your entourage, but a necessity! This one, from munzies is sure to make poop scooping at least turn that grimace into a sort of smile...I mean, look at all those cute wiener dogs on it!! How can you not crack at least a little bit of a smile while thinking of wiener dogs?

A Dilemma

This beautiful print by millionminds is so me today....I have a dilemma, and I need help! Dear readers, for a long time I've gone back and forth about what to do about having two shops. I don't like having two shops. I'd rather have one, but I'm concerned that the variety will kill my shop. Currently, as you know, I have candles and jewelry in my shop. I also have another shop for paper products. Do you think that if I combine both shops, it will just be too much of a variety? I'd like to hear some thoughts on this subject, please if you have any experience with this, please let me know!

On another note, I just got the news that I'm doing a huge and prestigious show here in town in November, so I'm a little stressed with how I'm going to get enough stock to do it. If you don't see me around much, it's because I've got my nose to the crafting grindstone and I'm actually working...ha...if you believe that I'll tell you another one. I can't stay away from the computer, it's like crack to me!

Well, I am off to work a bit this Wednesday morning. I haven't gotten enough coffee in my bloodstream yet, so I'll grab another cup first. Hope you all have a great day! Be sure to weigh in and tell me your opinions!

First Day of Freedom

Do you hear that? Nope, neither do I, I hear complete silence.....I have just begun my first day of the next 180 days of FREEDOM!!!!! There's no bickering, no fist fighting, no expectation to be waited on hand and foot, nothing. Me and the dog are sitting here looking at each other with blank looks on our faces. I'm going to sit with my coffee and relish this first day of freedom. I've picked out some great freedom items from my fellow Etsy sellers to commemorate my day, so take a peek at these!!

I think I'm going to petition to make the first day of school each year a national parent holiday, called "First Day of Freedom". Every first day of freedom should come with a little gift, wrapped up and adorned with this prim style gift tag by everydaysies.

This leafy little blackbird Tshirt, created by sweet3leafprints, shows how I feel very nicely. this one is a toddler size, but the concept, and the art is fabulous using all leaf prints! This shop is definitely one to check out! I only wish it came in adult sizes!

You know I love everything that is listed in the surly shop. I mean, how can I not when it's so much like my own logo? This freedom heart pendant necklace is perfect for every day wear with your favorite jeans. Be sure to check it out!

This 4 x 6" print of Spirit by naturenomad shows just how I feel today. My spirits are soaring, I'd like to be on Spirit's back, galloping through that field bareback and barefooted (both no no's while riding I may add) without a care in the world.

Alas, I think the mutt and I have decided that going back to our blanket burrito to relish in an extra hour (or two or three) of sleep would be the way to spend this morning! The kids will be home soon enough, and then the homework will start....papers and books to cover and tales of first day excitement!!
